jazz pianist living in Vienna

​Born in Tokyo, Mirei started playing the piano at the age of 3.She won the first place in many competitions when she was a child. She started learning from Professor Mari Nomura at the age of 13, and at the age of 18 Mirei moved to Vienna. She obtained a Master´s degree in Piano Performance, by attending Prof.Alexander Jenner´s class at MDW (University of Music and Performance Arts,Vienna). Later on, Mirei graduated from MUK (Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna) as a qualified Jazz Pianist, by attending Prof.Aaron Wonesch´s class. After performing at Vienna Birdland, created by Joe Zawinul, she took a break from performing 11 years to focus on raising her children.On February 23.2023, her trio "Mireis Trio"´s first album "All Original" was released by Preiser Records. Her Piano sound was praised by a former Bösendorfer tuner as "a rare pianist who competes with sound". The CD was later released in Japan by King Internatinal, and an article about her will be published in Tower Record´s magazine, Intoxicate, in October 2024.
